Rick is extrememly happy to announce that he has signed for Team Hard for the upcoming 2022 British Touring Car season.

He will be running in the ‘Upton Steel with Eurocarparts Racing’ Infinity Q50.

The Nottingham based racer made great progress last season learning how to drive the circuits and a very unfamiliar front wheeled drive car, but this season he returns to more familiar rear wheel drive and with the sole aim of scoring points this season.

Rick commented ” Last year was a total baptism of fire with everything so new to me, however I am really happy to be back in rear wheel drive for this season and lets see what I can achieve in my sophomore year!

As most people know it has always been a dream of mine to be in the BTCC, and so to start my second year in the championship is nothing shot of amazing, and although race wins definitely feel like an impossibility, scoring points are a viable aim and given that I am the only FIA Bronze graded driver and amateur driver on the grid I will be giving my all to prove that anyone no matter where they come from, what illness they suffer from, what adversity they have in front of them, you can given singular focus still achieve your dreams.”

Rick suffers from Crohns disease and has had in excess of 20 operations, he remains immuno supressed and is an ambassador for Crohns and Colitis UK.
