A dominant return to winning form for Parfitt!

Rick Parfitt and Seb Morris returned to British GT with a dominant win in round one at a sunny Oulton Park.

The duo showed why they are called the ‘dream team’ with Rick storming through from fourth on the grid to take the lead on lap two after the Ram Mercedes and the Team Parker Bentley came together. Rick then set about forging a gap and despite a safety car mid stint he handed the car over to Seb with a comfortable 7 second lead. Seb then drove a measured drive to bring home a strong win.

This was the first win for the new generation Bentley GT3 in Europe and to acheive this at the Crewe based manufacturer’s home circuit was very special.

Jason King JRM Managing Director commented, “Rick has put in an incredible drive to get us to the front in round one. With a smooth pit stop and driver change, Seb was primed to bring home the win and that’s exactly what he did. The JRM team has been working around the clock to learn the car inside out and gather vital data to help optimise set-up. Working with an established driver pairing like Rick and Seb has given us a significant advantage and helped us go through the car efficiently. I’m immensely proud of the team in securing the first win of the season.”

Nick Burns, Head of Customer Racing at Bentley said, “Having a Bentley take the win at the first round is a great start to the season and to have secured a win with JRM as a new team proves what a fantastic customer racing car we have produced. Rick worked hard to get to the front and then hold the lead and both drivers put in an impressive performance to get the best out of our new Continental GT3. A perfect start to the British GT Championship for JRM and Bentley.”
